Linode quick review
Since I wasn't satisfied with what Zone.net delivered, even after promising that things will go better and they didn't. I decided to continue my search for a better hosting.
I was basically trying to find a hosting with the following criteria:
* OS: Debian
* Control Panel: Plesk
* RAM: ~512MBs
* Private and Reverse DNS.
* Backup is a plus.
So I spent few more days reading here and there until a friend suggested Linode.
As usual, I went through WHT's forums and read reviews about Linode and they were all positive.
Their only problem was: they don't provide control panels, I have to install them myself.
Yet they had so many pros like the slicing thing.
I decided to give them a try so I ordered Linode 540 plan at 11:05AM.
11:07AM: got the confirmation e-mail.
11:11AM: got the payment receipt.
12:43PM: VPS activated!
Awesome speed!
I logged in, created my first slice, chosen Debian Sarge and in 2 mins it was installed and ready!
WOW! Great service so far. I will play with the VPS for a while and see how things will go.
Hey Omar, glad you are enjoying the service. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you need anything. - reply
