Symbian S60 and NetGear Access Points

Recently, I purchased a NetGear access point to use it at home. A decent piece of hardware, I must say.
My only problem was when I tried to access it with my Symbian based Nokia cellular phone. The problem was that the phone was able to find the access point and pull an IP, so far so good, then when I try to use anything that requires an internet connection (browser, e-mail messaging, PuTTy, etc...) it just restarts!

I use that phone smoothly with any access point except my home's, how weird. This is class A disaster, how am I supposed to browse from bed?
Anyways I searched online but in vain so I deceided to try out something myself.
Renaming the access point was the last thing I tried but it didn't even work. Securing and unsecuring the access point, WEP and WPA, 108 and 54 modes, I don't remember how many things I tried.

I was sure then that it's a Symbian issue or a combination. I tried changing the Advanced Settings of the Wi-Fi (from Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Wireless LAN > Options > Advanced Settings), I disabled automatic configuration, disabled power saving and guess what? It worked!

This article might show screenshots of how to do this on your phone: http://www.symbianv3.com/how-to-improving-wi-fi-coverage-and-performance...

Hope that helps anyone.
